The Library Learning Initiative is hosting a two-day Library Carpentry workshop on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 15-16, 2019, from 10:00-4:30 both days, including lunch and a coffee break. The workshop will cover the following in-depth, hands-on modules: Introduction to Data; the UNIX Shell; Tidy Data; and OpenRefine. Descriptions of the core lessons are available here. They will be presented by a Library Carpentry instructor, with help from staff members in the Digital Scholarship Support Group and the Harvard Library Research Data Management Program.
We are capping registration for this event at 25 and are reserving the bulk of the seats for staff who have been nominated by their managers to attend. We will open registration to all staff on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019. Nominees may still register at that time, but we won't be able to guarantee a seat. A public registration link will be posted here once available.
